Boz brings us up to date on whats happening with the Cubs

Redcar TLS/Simpson Racing Cubs today announced the replacement for the unfortunate Greg Blair. 20 year old Australian Aaron Summers, who rides at reserve for Edinburgh in the Premier League, will take the number 1 jacket for the Conference League side in the coming season.

Aaron is very highly rated in Edinburgh, and was one of the first names on their teamsheet this season. He has previous experience of riding in the Conference league on a couple of occasions for Buxton, including a 19 point haul at Stoke. Due to his commitments for Premier League Edinburgh, Aaron will miss some Cubs away fixtures and the Four Team tournament later in the season.

Aaron himself had contacted Cubs Team manager Jason Pipe on Sunday evening wanting to ride, and the deal to sign him was completed on Tuesday evening. Pipe himself is absolutely delighted to sign Summers, who should form a good partnership at the top end of the side with fellow Aussie Scott James.

This signing comes as a welcome boost for the Cubs, who have had both David Wallinger and Ashley Johnson retire from sport, Rusty Hodgson move away from the area as well as the injury to young Greg Blair.

Blair, 16, has successfully had surgery on his broken femur, and the young Scot will be out of action for at the very least 3 months.
