Boro stars David Wheater and Andrew Taylor will on Monday April 14 help to launch a daring charity abseil at the Riverside Stadium.
The players will be on hand with Century fm radio commentator Alastair Brownlee as details are announced of the event in aid of Teesside Hospice. Joining Alastair on the abseil will be Boro community liaison officer Diane O’Connell.
The abseil itself will take place from the North-West Corner of the stadium on to pitchside on Saturday June 14 from 9am onwards.
Volunteers with a good head for heights are urged to come and join the fun provided they can raise a minimum sponsorship of £50 for Teesside Hospice. All participants will receive a certificate of achievement.
Places are limited so book your place soon to avoid disappointment by calling 01642 355866. For further information visit www.teessidehospice.co.uk
The event is being held in conjunction with UK Bungee, one of the UK’s leading outdoor pursuits company with more than 10 years’ experience.
Teesside Hospice has annual running costs of £1.9m and needs to raise £3,500 every day from its own resources.
