carab-chain-cuffs2.jpgWell another fantastic week. Liverpool are just unstoppable at the moment and “they” are losing, I really don’t know if my wrists can take much more of this at the moment, and I’m constantly on my knees. Weeding is a real pain. If Big Ears asks if I’m a “dirty hoe” one more time I’m going to take a strimmer to him.

Also this Indian summer we are having is still going. It means I am well ahead of schedule with the work on Fernando. At this rate he’ll be finished before the harsh and snowy winter arrives. What a sight that will be - waking up and seeing Fernando’s face covered in the white stuff. Hmmmmmmm……

Well these are the last predictions for a couple of weeks due to the international break. I’m going to have a little jolly myself (see if I can pick up another new thong), but I’ll have to be careful. I was speaking to my neighbour (poor bloke looked tired. It took him longer than expected to choke his chicken) and apparently there has been a bit of a crime spree nearby, so I’d better make sure my security is all OK before I go. I have a few locks and chains I can use. I think they are downstairs in the basement. Might have to get them back off Big Ears first though.

Here’s your predictions ……..

Sunderland v Arsenal

Sunderland were unlucky last week. They pushed a very good Villa side all the way and will fancy their chances in this one, mainly due to the fact they are traditionally strong at home.

Arsenal had a great win in midweek and will be looking to fully forget the shocker last week. I can see them coming to the North East determined to make sure th Hull result is not repeated.

Prediction : 0-2

West Bromwich Albion v Fulham

The baggies has a tremendous away win last week (OK it was only to “them” but an away win is an away win) and will see Fulham as ideal opponents to build on that result and try to get a run going.

Fulham have slipped back after a promising start to the season and seem to have reverted to the form which saw them struggle for most of last season. They are one of a number of teams who will be glad of the international break to try and regroup.

Prediction : 2-1

Wigan Athletic v Middlesbrough

Wigan have made a bright start to the season and could argue that they should have more points that they actually have. They will relish this home game and can go into the international break with their tails up.

“They” have started losing at home now as well as away …. Hehehe. They are out of sorts, out of form and are running out of players too. Couldn’t happen to a nicer team. Nailed on home win.

Prediction : 3-0

Blackburn Rovers v Manchester United (KO 17:30)

Rovers returned from the north east with a great win last week but their problem has been their home form which has been patchy to say the least, and a visit from the champions is the last thing they needed.

United are stuttering however and needed a fortunate decision to finally break a determined Bolton side. They haven’t really got into their stride yet this season so will be encouraged to not be even further adrift. Away win.

Prediction : 1-2

West Ham United v Bolton Wanderers (Sunday, KO 13:30)

The happy hammers broke with tradition last week and won away from home in Zola’s first game in charge. They are another team who will be very satisfied with their start and will be looking up rather than down when the league starts to settle down.

Bolton were unlucky last week and have shown an appetite for the battle - something that is very important for them if they are to survive this season. I can actually see them picking up a point here through the same frustrating battling tactics as last week.

Prediction : 1-1

Chelsea v Aston Villa (Sunday, KO 15:00)

Chelsea sit top of the table and will be satisfied with their performances so far even though Stoke made it hard for them last week. The loss of Drogba will see how much the investment in Anelka has worked.

Villa look strong at the moment and will be looking to consolidate their place in the top 5. I think the Champions League is only just beyond them this season, and although they will give it a good go here I see the home side being victorious - just.

Prediction : 2-1

Manchester City v Liverpool (Sunday, KO 15:00)

City are very up and down at the moment playing well and winning one week and poorly and losing the next. Last weeks defeat was a particularly bad one and I bet Hughes cannot wait until January to get the heavyweight re-enforcements in.

The mighty reds are flying and sweeping all before them. Following Fernando’s wonderful double last week they look good at Champions-elect. Have faith, the reds are coming. Away win.

Prediction : 0-2

Portsmouth v Stoke City (Sunday, KO 15:00)

Pompey recovered well last week to beat Spurs after their thrashing ay City the week before. I think Harry will be happy with their position considering the games they have had so far.

Stoke have proved not to be the whipping boys so far and their battling style may well pay dividends when the pitches become heavier in the winter, but I can see Pompey having too much for them in a bruiser here.

Prediction : 2-1

Tottenham Hotspur v Hull City (Sunday, KO 15:00)

Spurs poor start continued last week and although Ramos looks relaxed he must be worried. I cannot see Spurs going down but already unless the retain the Carling Cup you would think Europe is beyond them.

Hull had the result of the season so far last time out with a win at the Emarites. The will think they are dreaming with the start they have made, but I can see them being brought back down to earth with a bump as Spurs finally get their season started.

Prediction : 2-1

Everton v Newcastle United (Sunday, KO 16:00)

Everton are another club who have had a sticky start to the season after doing so well last campaign. Although everyone can understand why they lost last week they are playing catch up already and cannot afford to lose many more.

Newcastle have been in total disarray and will be hoping that having a few days working with the new manager will help them. At least Kinnear may try to get a bit of team spirit and battle into the players. I think they will pick something up here with the derby and UEFA games catching up on the Toffees.
