Well Keith, you seem to have stirred things up with your comments about foreign ownership of football clubs.
KL - and rightly so, as I said to our lass as we drove home the other night from Aldi, theres just too much foreign ownership of stuff these days, mind you got a bit of a shock at that point, rabbit ran out in front of the car, thankfully the trusty Nissan has ABS
Right, Keith, so what could be done about it?
KL - we’ll I’ll never buy a car without ABS that’s for sure lovely workmanship on them Nissans, nearly as good as Kia….
No Keith, about foreign ownership of English clubs
KL - oh right I see what you mean, well the other week there was a conference of the Premiere League Chairman in London, Mr Fayed hit the nail on the head “theres too many damm foreigners buying clubs up” he said, how right he is.
Err, Keith are you aware of Mr Fayeds background ?
KL - Aye, practically royalty that bloke, give or take the odd car crash. He’s all “apples and pairs” “Lou Beale” “knees up Gordon Β Brown”"wheres my passport?”, I think he’s actually a pearly queen or something.
Keith, back to the main issue here, will the Boro ever be taken over by a foreign company?
KL - well, we had one offer that we nearly went for, but called it off at the last minute
Really ? You’ve managed to keep this quiet Keith.
KL- well yeah, Chinese group wanted to take the club, promised to pour millions into the team and the stadium, but Gibbo got a bit suspicious, he recognised one of the people we were negotiating with and called it all off
Wow, where did he recognise them from? Some major shipping deal in the far east ?
KL - nah, the lad had served him scallop curry and chips in Y K Chows the other week.
Ohh FFS Keith………….
