The headline should really read ‘not Kalou-ed part 4′ as Salomon Kalou scored 2 goals to really stick the knife in the Boro. He has 8 goals this season, of which 4 of them are against the Boro.

Boro arrived with little to offer from the start, debutant Marlon King was up front on his todd apparently supported by Johnson & Downing but can you really rely on that away to Chelsea?

Chelsea seemed to zip the ball around well; maybe not as well the last time they played us but still as casual and effective in their play. A part of me thought every time the likes of Downing & Johnson got the ball they could do something take a man on and whip it in for King but no, as about as much as trying to get an echo in a coffin they were simply overran in midfield. With midfield tyrants such as Lampard, Ballack and Mikel it was a simple, get it pass it.

Fair play to Boro in the first half we frustrated them and got in their faces, this was evident due to the lack of chances they had in the first half.

Second half kicked off and it was obvious that Scolari was miffed, replacing Drogba with Malouda at half time showed a clear sign of intent, Boro on the other hand? Tuncay & Alves sat it out on the bench.

Chelsea kept knocking on Boro’s door and it didn’t materialise for them, in the they did, a swinging corner from Lampard resulted in Wheater nodding away from Drogba only to Kalou smash it in Turnbull’s net.

With Boro’s lack of or no chances a goal was a tall order, this kept being the case due to Chelsea’s hunger for a second. A free kick from Lampard giving it that awkward bounce to find Kalou free in the box and he spazzed it wide, phew got away with that one, but only for the time being as again an in-swinging corner from Lampard landed on free-heading Kalou to find the net again for his second, Tuncay was marking him and as the corner came in he seemed to leave him resulting into it being a free header, yet again set pieces are the downfall and Chelsea now lie joint on points with Liverpool.

Boro, well we have it all do with wins for Sunderland and Spurs mean they could slowly slip away, whilst Stoke, Newcastle and West Brom all defeated can be only good thing to happen for us over the last 2 days.

Keep the faith? I will but the players need too as well, we need to have spirit and show some guts in our next fixture otherwise the outcome may be borderline unthinkable.

Come on Boro!!
