It’s the year 2109, Teesside Tigers Soccer Company have been part of the inaugural Trans-Atlantic Pro Soccer League since it was formed in 2084. As part of it’s 25 year anniversary celebrations they decided to send out investigators to track down memorabilia from it’s days as “Middlesbrough Football Club.”
One investigator tracks down the Great Grandson of the former landlord of an old style drinking establishment (pre-prohibition). This “Public House” was called The Navigation Inn and was sited near the old stadium, The Riverside, and was were the former Chief Executive, Keith Lamb, spent much of his final years in a drunken stupor telling anyone & everyone how he helped the club to it’s finest hour, winning the Champions League in 2016. Legend has it that only a few days before his demise he handed the landlord an MP3 player (an old style audio player), telling him that it was full oftelephone conversations from his days at MFC involving the then much lauded chairman, Sir Steve Gibson. Through much negotiating and many brown envelopes we have finally managed to get our hands on these transcripts, we like to call them

The Gibbo Tapes…………………….

Its Autumn 2009, Middlesbrough FC are in the Championship and in the hunt for promotion back to the Premier League. This triggers off Gibbo to start the search for a new manager.
It’s the 3rd September 2008, Gibbo is having a quiet drink in the Black Bull, Yarm with Gareth Southgate & Colin Cooper (The managerial team that was to lead England to the World Cup in 2018)……
