ive got a sandisk micro SD 8gb, ive deleted all the files from the card and when ive downloaded a film and transfered it to the card, the card can't read the file!! do micro sd cards have default files to help read media files?

Nope. Just a disk like any other as far as the computer is concerned, sounds like a duff file or a botched copy. Give it another go.
