Winner: France
Golden Boot: Kylian Mbappe
Player of the tournament: Firmino
Overachieving team: Denmark
Underachieving team = Portugal

I did the betstars £100M competition where you predict every outcome of the tournament, ended up with last 8 of Portugal, Brazil, France, Belgium, England, Germany, Spain, Argentina - so going off that, there won't be an overachieving team. But there is usually an African team do well-ish

Incidentally, I had France beating Spain in the final.

Good shout on France in this most unpredictable of tournaments. Croatia as overachiever? Or Russia? Or England even? Underachiever must be Germany, surely?

I had a pre tournament bet on France so I'm happy.

England overachieved, Germany were the big underachievers.

Will be interesting to see how it pans out in 2022 when it is in the middle of the season (so no fatigue, too many games as excuses), though the social side of it will be different as nobody will be turning up to big outside viewings throwing mulled wine over each other.
