I'm sure it will be pretty cool but I don't think i'm that interested in VR tbh. I am willing to change though :D

Excited by the tech, but needs AAA games to make it work. Your move developers.

Will be great for games where you're character is sat down.

Space sims / racing games etc will be sweet.

Grand tarismo 7 and possibly driveclub could feature the Virtual headset.

PSVR due out Thursday.

Getting amazing reviews, and there's a huge load of games at launch for it.

It's pretty costly mind, Over 400 quid without games.

However they are showing off the VR Aim gun, which mimics 1:1 movement with your gun/hands on your screen. You lift it up to your face to aim down the sights too.

Looking forward to seeing user reviews.

I think it will be a while before there is actually a solid good game for it, all the ones that come out at launch will be like little tech demos/hour long things

Mm, it's hard to get properly excited by the tech when most of the games coming out for it don't look like they're up to much. £400 is daft money for the privilege of playing them, too. Is that including the daft motion controllers?

I'm not convinced by the whole push for VR in gaming to be honest, think it's quite a limited medium - a bit like motion controls before it. Would love for PSVR to convince me otherwise though, think it's the most likely of the 3 big players to do that (excluding mobile VR, that strikes me as making a lot more sense to be honest).

If anyone hasn't been to Alton Towers lately, they have rebranded Air as Galactica - its the same ride but you wear a VR headset - it's absolutely incredible, whilst flying through space I thought to myself "If this is what VR gaming is going to be like it will be amazing". But that is a long way off imo

Picked one up yesterday, played resident evil for about 1hr and it's a scary weird experience, I tried the demo to driveclub, a driving game where you have full 360 vision just plays with your senses And I played around with other demo games and a little game in the VR playroom, there's a mini robot game , it's like mario but futuristic, only takes about 10mins to complete the level but I found amazing..

This can only better and at this moment it's wowed me.

Deal at Argos.

375 quid, with PS VR Aim controller & Farpoint game. Should be 420 total.

I'm still on the fence at the moment, really want to try one before I put down that much money on what could still end up as a gimmick product.

You must be reading different review sites to me. Most review sites I've read have placed it at 8 and over, and it's getting good noises on NeoGaf.

Eurogamer and Guardian weren't sold, I think Guardian only gave it a 2/5.

I've played resident evil for over 1hr, this is the bar set for future vr games, the table scene with the 3d effect is brilliant.. and the chasing around the house is edgy and scary..

I have had mine a while now, i would definitely sugguest try before you buy, it is one of best and worst gaming experience i have ever had, games are so immersive but i can not play for more than 5 minutes without feeling crazy ill.

I can see myself trading it in by the end of the year but only because of the motion sickness.

As a platform to play games its lacking but if you buy it for the VR experience it truely is amazing.

If you a decent PC the VR on that is supposed to be better.

Anyone using this?

Considering it now it’s dropped to £250 with Gran Turismo which is a game I was buying anyway.
Dirt looks decent on it too

Where is mofo when you need him?

He’s 6 months further on and could have valuable intel.
